Designed to take a pounding over difficult terrain, the R390 Fire fighting trailer is a Heavy Duty Trailer constructed on a 5mm Folded steel plate base. Mounted on a no nonsense Al-Ko Rubber Suspension Axle fitted with Steel Sports 6 stud Landcruiser pattern rims 205R:16:LT 8 ply tyres, you can take this trailer into almost any terrain you can take your 4WD.

The R390 is perfect for:

The R390 empty weight is approximately 750 Kg for easy manoeuvring and storage, alternatively the unit can be kept filled for extended periods without compromising the suspension performance or road wheels. The poly 1000 litre tank (or optional 800 litre) can hold water for extended periods without any corrosive effects on components.

The R390 has a standard 50mm Tow ball coupling and over riding heavy duty mechanical disc brakes for compatibility with virtually any vehicle or 4WD. (Should you be in doubt please contact us for clarification about the vehicle you are intending to use).

The R390 is equipped standard with a 6hp OHC Robin engine and a Dolphin 38mm Fire-fighter pump to deliver volume and pressure in a lightweight package.

The R390 has been designed to be easily towed behind most light (Toyota Landcruiser and Nissan Patrol) 4WDs and trucks and is equipped with a 30m hose reel with 25mm Storz couplings at both ends of the hose for compatibility with most standard equipped fire fighting vehicles and an Dial-A-Jet® Nozzle.

The R390 is equipped with a 38mm poly T-Port valve, designed to make the transition from drawing water from the tank supply to an external supply such as a dam simple and easy.

Additionally, the 38mm L-Port valve on the 1.5 inch outlet is designed to allow for rapid filling of the 1000 ltr poly tank. (An 800 litre tank is available if required). A 38mm Storz coupling is also fitted to allow it to be used for rapid filling of other appliances.

The R390 with a tonne of water, versatile, highly manoeuvrable and built to last in the most hostile terrain, is a wise addition to any equipment range or as a stand alone unit.
