Fire Demonstration Module
The benefit of this all in one module is that it can be taken to any location to address your Fire Management training needs without the costly expense of bringing the fire fighters away from their location for training purposes.
The ‘Fire Demonstration Module’ comes fully fitted with a fire simulation table and accessories which can be set up to demonstrate the behaviour of a wild fire under various environmental & geographical conditions.
This is achieved by configuring the table to simulate any number of terrain and aspect types eg: flat, gullys, steep inclines, valleys etc. Once the table is set up in the desired configuration it is then covered with hessian, various types of fuels are added and the hessian is ignited. The hessian burns, realistically, reflecting likely wildfire conditions and simulating a real life wildfire situation.
To add to the realism, miniature houses and sheds can be added, roads can be created with soil and gravel, and forests can be created using twigs and leaves. In fact the number of scenarios is only limited by your imagination!
As a risk management training tool it is invaluable as you can have up to 15 to 20 people around the table gaining valuable understanding of wildfire behaviour and movement.
As a result the Fire Demonstration Module provides step by step insight into where to concentrate and manage your physical, organisational and human resources to handle the fire adequately, which all relates to better decision making.
It’s all about saving lives !
Additionally, the unit comes complete with an array of communication and presentation aids (LCD screen, DVD player, PA system, brochure holders) to ensure that the trainer has all the required resources to deliver the correct training in a portable and compact unit.
Power to the mobile operational trailer can be sourced through either mains power or the customer’s own modified generator system, making it adaptable for rural, remote and urban demonstrations.
Incident Command Module
Just released is an additional module called the “Incident Command Module” which is designed to be an on-ground critical incident management unit and is available as an additional or alternative module to the fire demonstration unit. This unit contains: map table, cabinet & draws, fixed white boards thus enabling you to have your incident room essentials at the front line.
